Lasita opened in Chinatown’s Far East Plaza in 2021 as the more casual successor to Lasa, the Valencia brothers’ modern Filipino room that launched in the same plaza in 2017. Chase and Steff Valencia run the current rotisserie-and-wine concept; the short menu centers on lemongrass-garlic chicken inasal and stuffed pork belly lechon with dipping sauces, plus rotating sides and a low-intervention wine list. Bill Addison at the Los Angeles Times, Bon Appétit, the New York Times Los Angeles list, Eater, and The Infatuation have kept it in the city’s Filipino short conversation.
