East Table (“we,” “us”) operates easttable.com. This page explains how information is handled when you visit the site, join the newsletter, submit a reader note, or click affiliate links.
Information we collect
- Contact and form data: if you email us or submit a Reader Table note, we receive the message contents and any address or name you include.
- Newsletter signup: if you subscribe, we collect the email address you provide so we can send The Weekly Table and related updates.
- Usage data: we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and similar metrics). Analytics tools typically set cookies or similar identifiers.
- Affiliate links: some shopping pages include Amazon Associates links. If you click through, Amazon may set cookies and attribute a purchase under their program rules.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate and improve the publication
- Respond to messages and corrections
- Send newsletters you signed up for
- Understand what readers find useful
- Track affiliate referrals where disclosed on a page
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your email for unrelated third-party advertising lists.

We keep messages and subscriber emails as long as needed for editorial operations, legal obligations, or until you ask us to delete them where we reasonably can.

Children
East Table is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
