About

Anh and Chi (“brother and sister”) opened in April 2016 at 3388 Main Street, the longtime home of the Nguyễn family’s Pho Hoang. Siblings Amélie and Vincent Nguyễn rebuilt the room with midcentury design while keeping mother Lý Nguyễn’s kitchen at the center. Michelin awards Bib Gourmand and describes the menu as a love letter to Vietnam, citing banana-blossom softshell crab salad, grilled prawn mousse with herbs, and pho. The restaurant markets consecutive Bib years 2022-2025. Patio seating and cocktails make it as much a neighborhood hangout as a noodle shop.

Diners say

Public reviews emphasize fresh herbs, polished presentation, patio energy, and cocktails. Recurring themes: higher prices than strip-mall pho, weekend crowds, and wait times when the patio is packed. Diners often recommend the vermicelli bowl and shareable starters over treating it as a cheap noodle stop.
